LETTER OF INTENT
This letter of intent is issued for the loading of Wheat from 5 different loading points to 5 different off-loading points, which constitutes into one contract combined. All vehicles required are30x34 ton Side Tippers. The successful Transport Contractor will sign a 5 year contract, directly with the Mandate Holder of the contract. The information is as follows:
1. 1st LOADING POINT
Loading point: ATLANTIS (North West Province)
Off Loading Point: PRODSURE – BRITS
Commodity: Wheat
Trucks Required: 6 x 34 ton Side Tippers
Rate: R 1 700.00 per load
Distance: 80 Kilometers one way
Loading: 24/6 – Sundays off.
2. 2nd LOADING POINT
Loading point: GROBLERSDAL
Off Loading Point: HAMMANSKRAAL
Commodity: Wheat
Trucks Required: 6 x 34 ton Side Tippers
Rate: R 4 500.00 per load
Distance: 206 Kilometers one way
Loading: 24/6 – Sundays off.
3. 3rd LOADING POINT
Loading point: KOEDOESKOP (North West Province)
Off Loading Point: PRODSURE (NORTHAM)
Commodity: Wheat
Trucks Required: 6 x 34 ton Side Tippers
Rate: R 1 600.00 per load
Distance: 74 Kilometers one way
Loading: 24/6 – Sundays off.
4. 4th LOADING POINT
Loading point: MARBLE HALL
Off Loading Point: HAMMANSKRAAL
Commodity: Wheat
Trucks Required: 6 x 34 ton Side Tippers
Rate: R 3 900.00 per load
Distance: 184 Kilometers one way
Loading: 24/6 – Sundays off.
5. 5th LOADING POINT
Loading point: MAKOPPA
Off Loading Point: PRODSURE (NORTHAM)
Commodity: Wheat
Trucks Required: 6 x 34 ton Side Tippers
Rate: R 1 700.00 per load
Distance: 80 Kilometers one way
Loading: 24/6 – Sundays off.
OTHER INFORMATION
1. The Transporter will adhere to Road Traffic Act and Regulation on overloading of trucks
2. The Transporter will be responsible to attend to all breakdowns and problems in terms of its vehicles.
3. P.O.D.’s must reach us on a daily basis
4. The Transport Contractor may under no circumstances or at at no time work or communicate with the client directly during his engagement period under the terms and conditions of this contract. Failure to do this for whatever reason will constitute in the immediate termination of the contract with the Transport Contractor.
5. Acceptance of this Letter of Intent warrants full mandate to Micpa TMC and Logistics c.c. for operational efficiency by the Transport Contractor.
6. The Transport Contractor is responsible for its own fuel.
7. The contract period is 5 Years
8. Starting date is as soon as possible.
COMMISSION
All the quoted rates were reduced with R 100.00 per load as commission to Micpa TMC and Logistics c.c. as commission payable on this contract.
PAYMENT
Payment terms are 7 days after each month-end. The paymaster on this contract is O.J. Els Attorneys. The client will pay all monies due directly to O.J. Els Attorney’s Trust Account who in turn will effect payment directly to the Transport Contractor.
REQUIRED FROM THE TRANSPORTER
Full Spreadsheet containing the following information:
1. Make, Model and Registration number of all horse and trailers
2. Drivers names, I.D. No’s and or Passport number, Cell numbers and valid PDP
3. Copy of G.I.T. to the value of R 350 000.00 for each vehicle or a summary containing each vehicle, endorsed by its Insurance Broker.
